ABET Accreditation Workshop

ABET is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization that accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. ABET accredits over 3,200 programs at more than 670 colleges and universities in 24 countries.

 

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce ABET to the faculty and administrators of Latin American institutions. This workshop with help participants understand who ABET is, how it is structured, its international activities, and the value of accreditation. This workshop will cover accreditation basics and will also give participants an overview of ABET’s accreditation process, criteria, and timeline used to evaluate programs worldwide.

In addition, this workshop will inform participants of the various resources/events provided by ABET that focus on assessment, continuous improvement and accreditation.
